SmartLabs signs up for ANGA COM Digital
SmartLabs, the leading provider of multi-screen, multi-network solutions for video streaming, is taking part in the virtual ANGA COM Digital event on the 8-10 June 2021. The key topics of the technology panels and digital showrooms at ANGA COM Digital include: Fibre Optics, DOCSIS for 10G, FTTH, WiFi, 5G, Fixed Mobile Convergence, Trenching, Cloud Services, IPTV, OTT, App TV, Video Streaming and Measurement. Gary Hamer, SmartLabs’ SVP for Sales and Business Development will be speaking on the second day of the virtual conference, on the topic of ‘How Analytics Engines help Businesses better understand viewing Behaviour and protect Network Quality’.
Gary says: “We are able to offer a lot of insight and support for operators in this region based on our experience. We are keen to show how operators and content providers can better understand audience behaviour and changes in viewing habits by using advanced data and analytics, which will enable them to reduce customer churn and offer a better customer experience.”
SmartLabs has a digital booth at the event and will be using it to update prospects on the technical challenges and opportunities they face when implementing a cloud based system as well as sharing information on how it can help with independent testing and compliance on behalf of Widevine, since becoming an authorised integration partner in 2020.
Gary adds: “New players have been queuing for Widevine certification, sometimes waiting several months for their hardware to be certified, and potentially having to reschedule planned launches. The certification process can be long and product owners should be clear on what’s involved and the input needed from their side throughout the process. We will be on hand throughout the event to discuss the process, sharing tips on how to make the process as seamless as possible. We will also be there to help with any technical migration queries too – no matter whether Android or Linux. We can also help with guidance on strategies for monetising VOD delivery including SVOD, AVOD and TVOD.”
The panel discussion in which Gary is taking part is at 15:00 – 16:00 on the 9th of June 2021.
